한일연대로 후쿠시마 핵폐수 해양투기 중단시키고, 
한국과 일본이 독일과 대만과 같은 탈핵국가가 되도록 합시다 
 

일본의 수산물수입규제 철폐요구를 반대하고,
후쿠시마 핵폐수 해양투기 2년과 한일정상회담을 계기로 추진된
2주간의 탈핵집중투쟁 마무리하며

어떤 면에서 보면 환경운동이란게 참 허망합니다. 무언가를 위해 열심히 뛰었는데 가만히 보면 제자리입니다. 환경을 보호한다는 것이 실은 개발과 파괴행위로부터 지켜내는 것이어서 더 깨끗하고 아름답게 보호한다기 보다는 지금보다 더 더럽혀지고 파괴되는 것을 막아내는 일이 대부분이기 때문입니다. 이번 2주간의 후쿠시마 집중투쟁도 마찬가지입니다. 일본 농업장관이 촉발한 '후쿠시마 수산물 한국수입규제 철폐요구'를 계기로 시작되어, 8월23-24일의 한일정상회담, 8월24일로 2년째를 맞는 후쿠시마 핵폐수 해양투기 2년, 8월25일까지 이어지는 14차 해양투기... 일본수산물수입규제철폐 요구는 겨우 막아내 한편으론 다행이지만, 후쿠시마 핵폐수의 해양투기는 중단시키지 못해 다른 한편으론 허탈합니다. 

그동안 하도 잠잠해서 불안하기까지 했던 후쿠시마 이슈에 대해 많은 환경시민사회단체들이 집중캠페인에 힘을 모아주었고, 긴급하게 조직되어 추진된 방일투쟁활동도 계획대로 진행되었습니다. 지난 수십년간 쌓아온 김복녀 선생님의 한일탈핵연대 관록과 유대가 유감없이 실력을 보여 주었습니다. 한국사람들이 흔히 '일본의 운동은 왜 그러냐'는 식의 평가를 하지만, 일본 시민사회의 저력은 대단합니다. 20대부터 시작한 운동이 70대를 훌쩍넘겨 흰머리를 날리며 굳건하게 평생을 이어가는 노익장들이 일본 수상관저앞에서 그리고 신주쿠역앞에서 일본사회를 꾸짓고 나아가야할 방향을 앞장서서 제시합니다. 재일한국인 운동가들의 활발한 활동을 보고 같이 한 것도 큰 보람이었습니다. 내년 2026년이 후쿠시마 핵참사 발생 15주년이라면서 한일연대 활동을 크게 벌이자는 일본운동가의 제안이 있었습니다. 한일연대로 후쿠시마 핵폐수 해양투기를 중단시키고 더 나아가 한국과 일본을 탈핵국가로 만드는 투쟁에 모두 같이 하십시다~

日韓連帯で福島核廃水海洋投棄を中断させ、

韓国と日本がドイツや台湾のような脱核国家になるようにしましょう

日本の水産物輸入規制撤廃要求に反対し、

福島核廃水海洋投棄2年と日韓首脳会談を契機に推進された

2週間の脱核集中闘争の仕上げ

ある意味、環境運動というのはとても許しています。何かのために頑張りましたが、じっと見てみましょう。環境を保護するというのが、実は開発と破壊行為から守るものなので、よりきれいで美しく保護するというよりは、今よりも汚れて破壊されるのを防いでいることが大半だからです。今回の2週間の福島集中闘争も同様です。日本農業長官が触発した「福島水産物韓国輸入規制撤廃要求」をきっかけに始まり、8月23-24日の日韓首脳会談、8月24日で2年目を迎える福島核廃水海洋投機2年、8月25日まで続く14...やっと防ぎ、一方では幸いですが、福島核廃水の海洋投棄は中断させることができず、他方では虚脱します。

これまでもしばらくして不安になるまでやっていた福島問題について、多くの環境市民社会団体が集中キャンペーンに力を集めてくれ、緊急に組織されて推進された訪日闘争活動も計画通りに行われました。過去数十年間積み重ねてきたキム・ボク女先生の韓日脱核連帯貫禄とユダヤが残念ながら実力を見せてくれました。韓国人がよく「日本の運動はなぜなのか」という式の評価をしますが、日本市民社会の底力はすごいです。 20代から始まった運動が70代をぶら下げて白髪を飛ばし、しっかりと一生を続けている老益場たちが日本首相官邸の前で、そして新宿駅前で日本社会を飾って進むべき方向を先頭に立って提示します。在日韓国人運動家たちの活発な活動を見て一緒にしたのも大きなやりがいでした。来年2026年が福島核惨事発生15周年であり、日韓連帯活動を大きく繰り広げようという日本運動家の提案がありました。韓日連帯で福島核廃水海洋投棄を中断させ、さらに韓国と日本を脱核国家にする闘争にみんな一緒にしましょう～

Let's unite Korea and Japan to stop the ocean dumping of nuclear wastewater from Fukushima,

and make Korea and Japan nuclear-free nations like Germany and Taiwan.

We oppose Japan's demand to lift restrictions on seafood imports,

and conclude the two-week anti-nuclear protest,

which was launched two years after the ocean dumping of nuclear wastewater from Fukushima and the Korea-Japan summit.

In some ways, the environmental movement is truly futile. We work hard for something, but when we look closely, we find ourselves stuck. Protecting the environment is actually about protecting it from development and destruction. Rather than making it cleaner and more beautiful, we often prevent it from becoming even more polluted and destroyed. This two-week Fukushima protest is no exception. The movement began with the Japanese Minister of Agriculture's call for the lifting of import restrictions on Fukushima seafood to Korea, followed by the Korea-Japan summit on August 23-24, the second anniversary of the Fukushima nuclear wastewater dumping incident on August 24, and the 14th ocean dumping incident continuing until August 25... While the demand for the lifting of import restrictions on Japanese seafood was barely blocked, the failure to halt the ocean dumping of Fukushima nuclear wastewater leaves a sense of despair.

Many environmental civic groups have joined forces in a concentrated campaign to address the Fukushima issue, which has been so quiet it's even unsettling. The urgently organized and initiated protests in Japan have proceeded as planned. The experience and solidarity built over decades by Kim Bok-nyeo in the Korea-Japan Anti-Nuclear Solidarity have been fully demonstrated. While Koreans often criticize Japan's movements with questions like, "Why is Japan so stubborn?", the resilience of Japanese civil society is truly remarkable. Beginning in their 20s, these veteran activists, now well into their 70s with gray hair and a lifelong commitment, are leading the charge in front of the Prime Minister's Office and Shinjuku Station, challenging Japanese society and suggesting a future direction. It was deeply rewarding to witness and participate in the vibrant activities of Korean activists in Japan. A Japanese activist proposed a major Korea-Japan solidarity effort, citing the 15th anniversary of the Fukushima nuclear disaster in 2026. Let's all join in the fight to stop the ocean dumping of Fukushima nuclear wastewater and, ultimately, to make Korea and Japan nuclear-free.
